2021 Waukesha County Fair Opening Ceremony Kickoff

The fair starts Wednesday and runs until Sunday.

WAUKESHA, WI – The 2021 Waukesha County Fair Kick-Off Opening Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at noon at the flagpole in front of the Waukesha Freeman Exhibits Building.

Included in the short kick-off event will be:

  • A welcome from the Waukesha County Fair Executive Director, Chrissy Gluege
  • A welcome from the 2021 Fairest of the Fair Mariah Richardson.
  • A march to the flagpole and presentation of the flag to be hung and flown.
  • A salute of the flag; a performance by a local singer.
  • A dissertation about the flag and closing remarks.

“This is the first time the Fair is having an opening ceremony of this caliber,” said Chrissy Gluege in a statement. “I can’t think of a better way to kick off the return of the Fair.”

The fair is the oldest in the state and the largest event in Waukesha County. July 21-25 marks the 179th anniversary of the Waukesha County Fair, presented by Inpro.
