Baby Among 3 Injured In Waukesha Crash, 1 Arrested
A call about a possible kidnapping and stolen car turned out to be false.
WAUKESHA, WIβ Three people, including a baby, were injured Friday evening in downtown Waukesha after a car crashed into light poles near Arcadian Avenue and North East Avenue.
The injuries were not life-threatening. The people β a man, a woman and a baby boy β were not identified.
The man, who was believed to be the driver, was arrested later in the hospital.

Police said they were recommending charges against the man that included operating a vehicle while intoxicated, child abuse, domestic abuse, battery and second-degree recklessly endangering safety, according to a Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report.
The incident unfolded Friday evening.

A person in an apartment building on Arcadian Avenue and North East Avenue called police after hearing a loud crash, police said. The caller saw a car hit two traffic lights then drive off with the baby inside, according to a police log.
Reports that the car was stolen or that a kidnapping was happening turned out to be false, police said.
The car drive into a Dollar General parking lot, the police log said. The man ran from the car into the nearby Women's Center, the log said.
Police found the man with a large cut on his head, along with a baby with a cut on his head, police said. They found the injured woman later, police said. All three were taken to the hospital.
