Storms Caused Power Outages In Waukesha

Customers were in the dark after a storm Wednesday night caused power outages in Waukesha homes.

WAUKESHA, WI — Nearly 2,500 homes were in the dark in the City of Waukesha and 1,600 in the Town of Waukesha after a storm passed Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, according to We Energies.

As of 8:20 a.m. 15,000 Waukesha County customers were affected by outages Thursday morning, an energy service spokesperson told Patch.

The National Weather Service reported thunderstorms, damaging winds and the chance of tornado and hail Wednesday. Wednesday night saw showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall and a low of 72, according to the weather service.
