6 Waukesha Vehicle Break-Ins Reported In 24 Hours

In some cases, the vehicles were left unlocked, while in others, the suspects smashed out the windows to gain entry, police reported.

WAUKESHA, WI — Authorities in Waukesha are reporting that several vehicles were broken into over the last 24 hours.

The incidents were reported on S. Grand Ave., Big Bend Road, Elder Street and Burr Oak Blvd., according to police call logs.

In some cases, the vehicles were left unlocked, while in others, the suspects smashed out the windows to gain entry, police reported.

8 p.m. Sunday

A resident on the 200 block of S. Grand Ave. called police, saying someone broke in their vehicle by squeezing their arm through a partially-opened window and unlocking the door. An old cell phone and charger were taken.

7:30 p.m. Sunday

A caller on the 1500 block of Big Bend Road told police someone entered their unlocked vehicle and noticed that change was taken.

1:30 p.m. Sunday

A passenger-side car window was smashed out on the 1700 block of Elder Street. The vehicle's owner said a wallet and several other items were taken.

12:20 p.m. Sunday

Another resident on Elder Street said their passenger-side car windows had been smashed out.

11 a.m. Sunday

Another resident on the 200 block of S. Grand Ave. said their vehicle was entered overnight, and $200 was taken.

10:45 a.m. Sunday

A knife was stolen out of a vehicle on the 1100 block of Burr Oak Blvd.
