7-Year-Old Boy Dies In Waukesha County Drowning

The incident happened at Menomonee County Park in Menomonee Falls.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI— A 7-year-old boy died in a drowning Wednesday afternoon at Menonmonee County Park, W220 N7884 Town Line Road in Menomonee Falls, according to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies found the unresponsive child already been removed from the water, the sheriff's office said. People performed CPR until rescue efforts were turned over to law enforcement and fire department personnel.

The boy was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lannon Police Department and Menomonee Falls Fire Department.

The incident remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.
