Aerial Traffic Enforcement Planned For I-94 In Waukesha Friday
Wisconsin State Patrol said pilots are scheduled to keep an eye out for traffic violations on Interstate 94 on Friday, weather permitting.
WAUKESHA, WI — Pilots with the Wisconsin State Patrol are scheduled to hit the skies above Waukesha County on Friday to keep an eye out for traffic violations on Interstate 94, according to a news release from the agency.
State patrol often announces the missions ahead of time in an effort to make drivers comply on their own. From the air, police have an easier time spotting drivers who are speeding or acting recklessly, according to the news release. If a pilot spots a violation, they call it into the ground to make a traffic stop.
The mission is weather permitting, police said. The National Weather Service forecast a mostly sunny day on Friday with a high around 48.
