Albanese's Roadhouse In Waukesha Set To Close In March: Reports
Waukesha's Albanese's Roadhouse is set to close at the end of March and be replaced by a car wash, according to reports.
WAUKESHA, WI β Albanese's Roadhouse, known for its decades of offering Italian-American food in Waukesha, will close at the end of March, according to a report Tuesday by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The restaurant's owner, Joseph Albanese, told the Journal Sentinel that the site is being sold to Jilly's Car Wash. The Waukesha Freeman first reported the news of the pending land sale in January. Albanese told The Freeman that the family is looking at the sale as "an opportunity."
The closure comes after the business announced the death of 91-year-old owner Dominic Albanese in July, 2022. The longtime family business, now located at 2301 West Bluemound Road, was first opened in the 1940s and passed down through the Albanese family for generations, according to its website.
