The University of Nebraska-Lincoln granted degrees to more than 2,800 students at commencement exercises May 4 and 5. It was the largest graduating class in UNL history. The graduates included:
Waukesha: Sarah Lynne Burghaus, bachelor of arts from the College of Arts and Sciences.
Waukesha: Jacinda Joy Sonday, bachelor of science in applied science from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

The graduates are from 44 states and 38 countries.
Kwame Dawes, professor of English and Glenna Luschei Editor of the Prairie Schooner at UNL, addressed the May 4 postgraduate ceremony. Gen. C. Robert "Bob" Kehler, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, addressed the May 5 baccalaureate ceremony. Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for the New Yorker and senior analyst for CNN, will gave the address at the May 5 College of Law ceremony.
