Twenty-two students received their associate's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha during the 2012 summer session. The following local students were among the summer graduates:
- Amy Brown, of New Berlin, sociology,
- Adam Fritz, of Waukesha,
- Hannah Gay, of Waukesha,
- Faye Miley, of Waukesha, mathematics,
During the 2011-2012 academic year, 230 UW-Waukesha students earned degrees, the largest number in school history. The previous high, 199, was set in 2001-2002.
"I am very proud that we are continuing to increase the number of graduates from our campus," said UW-Waukesha Dean/CEO Harry Muir. "I believe our graduates are equally prepared to enter the workforce or continue their education at a baccalaureate institution."

Students must earn at least 60 college credits in five different areas and maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average (on a scale of 4.0) to qualify for a degree. UW-Waukesha confers associate of arts and science degrees and prepares students to transfer to a baccalaureate institution for a bachelor's degree.
