Obituary: Anthony Stuart “Stu” McLaughlin

Anthony Stuart “Stu” McLaughlin, age 87, passed away on March 13, 2012.

Stu was born July 18, 1924, and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and immigrated to the United States with his wife, Sheila in 1952. He lived in Brookfield for nearly 50 years and was a longtime member of Merrill Hills Country Club. Stu was an avid golfer, fisherman and he loved racquetball.

Stu was the dear husband of Sheila; the loving father of Rebecca (Bruce) Heckel, Ena Patricia, Moya (Steve) Smitka, Tony (Jill), Kathleen (Ken) Burns, Ita Jean and Sean (Tori); the beloved grandfather of Timothy, Brigid, Shona, Mairead, T.J., Patrick, Caila, Liam and Devin; and the great-grandfather to six.

A memorial service will follow at a later date.
