Obituary: Dorothy Julia Durant

Dorothy Julia Durant, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at her home, with her son by her side, on Sept. 19, 2012 ,at the age of 91 years. Dorothy was born in Antigo, WI, on Jan. 31, 1921, the daughter of Walter and Agnes Deresch. She married Eugene Francis Durant and they resided in Waukesha. Dorothy was a longtime member of St. William Catholic Church. Dorothy loved the outdoors and wildlife. She loved hunting, fishing and camping. Dorothy loved to walk in the woods. More than anything, she loved playing with her great-granddaughter, Kaydra.

Dorothy will be dearly missed by her son, David Durant; her granddaughters, Krystal Nosek and Karly Nosek; her great-granddaughter, Kaydra Roberts; her sister, Alice Ladwig; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene, Sr.; her son, Eugene, Jr.; her brother, Frank Deresch; and her sister, Victoria Sandcomb.

The visitation for Dorothy will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. prayer service on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will immediately follow the Prayer Service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Waukesha.
