Elaine Rita Rockley (nee Konicke), passed on to Eternal Life, Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Clare Bridge Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care in Brookfield at the age of 87 years.
Elaine was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Milwaukee. She was a daughter of Edward and Mary Konicke. Elaine grew up on the south side of Milwaukee, and as a young woman, worked for the Heil Co. She married Donald J. Rockley on May 28, 1949, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They were deeply devoted to each other, and their love overcame any and all challenges they faced in life. Elaine truly missed Don when he died on March 3, 2007.
Over the years, Elaine and Don lived in Milwaukee, New Berlin, Waukesha and Pewaukee. She spent her final years at Clare Bridge. Elaine and Don were longtime members of St. William’s Catholic Church in Waukesha. Elaine will be remembered most as a loving wife and devoted mother, whose religious faith sustained her through the years. Her most treasured times were times spent with her family and times spent in prayer to our loving God.

Elaine will be sadly missed by her three sons, James of Waukesha, Jan (Marilee) of West Allis and Jeffrey (Becky) of East Troy. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jeffrey and Becky’s son, Matthew, and Jan and Marilee’s sons, Joshua, Joel and Jason.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Elaine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; siblings, Edward, Jr., who died as a child, Earl (Nelsine “Bette”), Lorraine (Kenneth Bishop and later Don Semrad) and Ruth (Robert) Jacobs.

A visitation for Elaine will be held from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery, 3801 S. 6th St. Milwaukee, WI 53221(meet inside the gate off of 6th St.). In lieu of flowers, memorials in Elaines name appreciated to St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd, Waukesha, WI 53188.
