James A. Ponasik, Sr., of Waukesha, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 67.
He was born in Waukesha on Feb. 4, 1945, the son of John and Evelyn (nee Toennessen) Ponasik. He lived in Waukesha and Pewaukee retiring from Kearney and Trecker after 27 years of service. As a young man, Jim developed a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and relatives anywhere the birds were flying, the bucks were rutting and the fish were biting.
He is survived by his brother John, sister Marie, daughter Katherine, son James, Jr. and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Patricia.
