Obituary: Joyce Marie Schirmacher

Joyce Marie Schirmacher, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 at LindenGrove in Waukesha at the age of 88.

She was born in England on June 8, 1924 the daughter of John and Gladys (nee Roberts) Pountain. After growing up in England and attending school there, Joyce came to America and met and married Harold Schirmacher on July 29, 1950, in Waukesha.  He preceded her in death on June 16, 2011.  She worked for many years at the Waukesha County Home as a nursing assistant. 

She will be sadly missed by her children Kenneth (Peggy) Schirmacher of Hartford and Linda Finn and former son-in-law William Finn of Waukesha, her grandchildren: Dawn Schirmacher of Green Bay, Kara (Pat) Sullivan of Jackson and Jason (Jenny) Finn of Waukesha; great-grandchildren: Keegan and Aidan Sullivan and Jackson Finn. She is further survived by her brother-in-law Ralph (Deanna) Schirmacher of Waukesha and her sister-in-law Ann (the late Richard) Schirmacher of Waukesha along with family in England, other relatives and friends. 

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, from 11 a.m. until the Noon memorial service at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, 605 S. Prairie Avenue. Inurnment will follow.
