Obituary: Lloyd W. Thomas

Lloyd W. Thomas, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at ManorCare in Pewaukee at the age of 90 years.

He was born in Milwaukee on June 18, 1922 the only child of the late Eslie Elwood and Emma (nee Boerger) Thomas. He was a 1941 graduate of Wythrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Lloyd was a successful carpenter and building contractor and worked for Hallmark Builders for many years. Following the death of his first wife Adelheid (nee Zuler), he married Jeanne (nee Wilkins) in Las Vegas on March 24, 1983.  Lloyd was an active member of Waukesha Elks Lodge No. 400 and a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ in Waukesha.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Jeanne Thomas of Algoma, his sons John (Lynn) Thomas and David (Nina) Thomas both of Waukesha, his step-children: Sharon Tiedtke of Algoma and Richard (Annita) Bergman of Clinton, LA, his grandchildren: Albert (Robin) Thomas of Waukesha, Tony Thomas of North Prairie, Lindsey (Ben) Galka of Muskego and Steven (Linda) Thomas of Elkhorn, step-grandchildren: Tracy (fiancé Steve Smith) Clark, Buddy Bergman, Stewart Jensen, Donald Jensen and Michelle Hesler and great-grandchildren: Dominic, Aaron, Courtney, Collin, Dustin and Carson.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. Lodge of Sorrow Service followed by the religious funeral service all held at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery office.
