Obituary: Richard D. “Buck” Miller Sr.

Richard D. “Buck” Miller Sr., of Waukesha, died on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at the age of 78 years.

Buck was born in Milwaukee on Jan. 19, 1934, the son of the late Casimir and Catherine Miller. He worked as an electrician for Marquette Electronics for many years. In the 60s, Buck served as a volunteer firefighter for the New Berlin Fire Department.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Buck will be dearly missed by his children, Mike (Rose) Miller of Waukesha and Linda (Allen) Dowe of Oconomowoc; grandchildren, Nicole Miller, Tracy (Tim) Rott, Amy Dowe, Barb Evans, Geoff Solheim, Diane Photinos, Karen Dowe, Steven Dowe, Allen Dowe, Paul Dowe, Tina Larson, Greg Tromley, Josh Lueck, Tyler, Ava and Michael Stone; great-grandchildren, Tamara, Myriah, Melody, Dakota, Scarlett, Aydin, Hanna and Maxwell; brother’s, Casey (June) Miller and Jerry (Inga) Miller; sister, Pat Berndson. Buck is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; son, Ricky; parents; and sisters, Betty, Lynn, and Mary.

The visitation for Buck will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. memorial service on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. The Reverend Bill Key will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated.
