UW-Waukesha Accounting Major Receives English Department Honors

Melissa Chaulklin, of Waukesha, was honored by the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha's English department at the college's spring commencement on May 17.

"After having had Melissa in two of my classes and being very impressed with her insight into various texts, I was absolutely certain she was an English major," said Ellyn Lem, associate professor of English. "After I found out she was actually majoring in accounting, I have been not too subtly trying to woo her to our discipline instead."

Departmental honors are awarded to students nominated by faculty for truly outstanding work in their discipline. Honors are only bestowed when an individual department so designates. All UW-Waukesha students are eligible for this award.
