Authorities were sent to the area of Oak Grove Lane and Green Country Road in Waukesha just before 7 p.m., Tuesday sheriff's officials said.

During a press conference held at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sheriff Eric Severson delivered what details he could about the incident, saying his deputies were in the early stages of the investigation, and still had to track down family members to deliver the news that their relatives were either injured, or deceased.

"The call came in led us to believe there was an ongoing domestic disturbance call. We had a lot of dead air on the call and we also had some remarks that led us to believe that there might be a stabbing in progress," Severson said. "Deputies responded immediately, and when they arrived at the scene we found that there were four, victims in a stabbing incident, and an adult male suspect."

Severson said they arrested a suspect who was still at the scene by the time deputies arrived.

"We have every reason to believe that this is a lone actor, there are no other suspects that we need to concern ourselves with, we have no reason to believe there are any others involved, and we feel there is no active or ongoing threat to the community as the result of this.

"This is going to be ongoing. I do want to express our condolences to the families," he said.
