According to a letter from Nick Marking, managing member, he ran a similar beer garden last summer at 84South at 84th and Layton in Greenfield called The Lokal Beer Garden.

"It was a very successful summer venture at the popular and busy development at 84South, which is very similar to the Shoppes at Fox River. We were named 2nd best new bar in the 2020 Shepherd Express Awards given out yearly and we were only open for 5 months," Marking said.

The proposed hours are 4 p.m. The proposed hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Fridays 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturdays 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

According to city documents, organizers plan to have 10 employees with one manager on site at all times.

A Class B beer license permit was approved by the Ordinance and License Committee Monday night. The proposal is expected to go to the Plan Commission on March 24 for approval.
