WAUKESHA, WI — A church in Waukesha County is inviting people to experience a live re-enactment that is central to the story of Christmas.

A live reenactment staged by the Oakwood Church, invites members of the public to smell the spices, pet the sheep, visit the carpenter’s shop, have a snack with Mary, ride a camel - and listen to the stories of those who were part of Jesus’ birth.

The event is called Bethlehem LIVE!, and organizers say this event "is your passport to the Christmas story, giving young and old the opportunity to step into the story and experience the meaning of Christmas firsthand."

This event is an exclusively indoor experience, including the animal interactions.
This is a ticketed event. Visitors are encouraged to reserve a ticket for each member of their group, and plan to arrive 10 minutes before the start time listed on their reservation. The experience takes about 40 minutes to complete.
