WAUKESHA, WI — A security guard at the Waukesha Bath and Body Works has nothing on the old Maytag Repair Man, famous on TV commercials of the 1980s for having nothing to do.

Early Friday morning, Waukesha Police were called to the Bath and Body Works on West Sunset Drive because a bored security guard found a way to pass the time — and got into some trouble.

According to police call logs, offers were called to the store at just after 2 a.m. after the security guard called police.

When police arrived, they learned the security guard handcuffed himself and couldn't get free because he left his keys at home.

Police said the responding police officer used his handcuff key to take the cuffs off the security guard. He told the officer that he was going to put the handcuffs in his bag for the night so it wouldn't happen again.
