WAUKESHA, WI — After a jury last week found Darrell Brooks guilty of 76 charges in the Waukesha Christmas parade trial, Judge Jennifer Dorow has scheduled the sentencing hearing for Nov. 15 and 16.

Thirty-six people are expected to give victim impact statements and more have asked for a statement to be read into the record at the sentencing, said Waukesha County Deputy District Attorney Lesli S. Boese during a hearing Monday.

Boese noted to the judge that there is a sentiment for the sentencing to happen before the upcoming anniversary of the Nov. 21, 2021 parade. Brooks rammed his SUV through the 2021 parade killing six and injuring dozens more, according to prosecutors.
