City Of Waukesha Provides Plow Safety Tips For Drivers
According to the the National Weather Service snow accumulation is expected.
WAUKESHA, WI— Waukesha residents expect to see a blanket of white snow on the roads this weekend. According to the National Weather Service, 1 to 3 inches are possible on Saturday.
Based on the forecast, you will likely be seeing plow drivers out on the roads this weekend. The City of Waukesha cautions drivers to help out plow drivers by:
- Giving them room - If you see plows out on the road, give them plenty of space. They make frequent stops, starts, and turns.
- Don't throw snow- When you are removing snow from your property, it must be kept off the roadway.
- Don't park in the road-Try to avoid parking on the street so the plows have more space to clear the roads.
- Be patient-During a storm, crews will be out working. They start with main streets, hills, intersections, bus routes, and railroad crossings. Once those are cleaned, they move on to flat streets, cul-de-sacs and alleyways. They will get to all areas. Please be patient.
