WAUKESHA, WI — An incident in the David's Park neighborhood did not involve an actual gun, and was not as serious as initially reported, Waukesha Police told Patch.

According to police call logs, officers were sent to a home on the 1400 block of Big Bend Road just before 3 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a man with a gun.

Call logs stated that a person initially called police, saying a man pulled a gun on her. Several police squads were deployed to the area and set up a perimeter around the condominium. Police said they made several commands for the man to come out of the building peacefully.

Waukesha police told Patch that the woman who called police embellished an initial report about the gun.

When police investigated, they found several inconsistencies with the woman's story: there was no gun displayed during the incident, and the suspect wasn't even home at the time of the 911 call.

According to police call logs, officers caught up with the suspect just after 7 p.m. and verified that he was not at the condominium at the time of the 911 call.

Police later determined that the man and two women were in a three-way relationship, and apparent jealousy issues touched off a dispute that escalated Wednesday.

Police said no arrests were made as a result of the incident and the three people who were involved were separated for the evening.
