Drunk Driver Arrested After Trip Down Waukesha Sidewalks: Police

Police said officers found the man's SUV in a grass area with several people standing around the vehicle.

WAUKESHA, WI — A Big Bend man has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after authorities said he took his SUV for a drive down the sidewalks of a Waukesha neighborhood.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers were sent to the neighborhood near the intersection of Garfield Ave. and Big Bend Road for a report of a reckless driver just after 12:30 a.m. on May 11.

Police reported that the driver, a 41-year-old man from Big Bend, drove on the sidewalks and was honking the his SUV's horn.
