Drunk Driver Arrested After Witness Calls Police: Report

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say a concerned citizen alerted authorities to a drunken driver, leading to the arrest of the driver.

According to Waukesha police call logs, officers pulled a driver over near the intersection of Northview Road and Meadowbrook Road at just before 2 a.m. on Sept. 28.

Police said the driver, a 53-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of her first drunken-driving offense.

According to police call logs, a concerned citizen saw the woman driving the wrong way, and later saw the woman slumped over the wheel. The person who called police said the woman appeared disoriented and confused.

When police responded, they noted that the woman eventually returned to the right side of the road, but initially refused to stop for officers. Police said the woman eventually pulled over and was taken into custody at just after 2 a.m.
