Drunken Driver Plunged Car Into Fox River: Waukesha Police
Police said the drive left El Palmar, got behind the wheel of his car and plunged into the Fox River.
WAUKESHA, WI — A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving after authorities say he drove his car into the Fox River.
According to Waukesha police call logs, officers were sent to the area by the Fox River near Buckley Street and Corrina Boulevard just before 3 a.m. on June 20 on a report that the driver plunged his car into the river.
Police call logs stated that the water rescue team was called to the scene, though an eyewitness told police that the driver and a woman who was a passenger, managed to get out of the car, and walked to shore without being seriously injured.

Authorities towed the partially submerged car out of the river as a crowd of onlookers and family members showed up at the scene, police said.
Waukesha police told Patch that the driver left the El Palmar restaurant, and drove down Buckley and straight into the river. He was arrested on suspicion of his first drunken driving offense.
