In partnership with the Delafield Public Library and the Delafield, Hartland, Pewaukee and Sussex Chambers of Commerce, the Waukesha County Business Alliance will host a Candidate Forum for the 33rd State Senate District at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 26, in the Delafield City Hall Council Chambers, located at 500 Genesee Street, Delafield, Wisconsin.
The forum will feature State Representatives Paul Farrow and Chris Kapenga, who are vying for an open Senate seat in a Republican primary on Nov. 6. No Democrat has entered the race, so the winner of the primary will likely be seated in the Senate after the Dec. 4 general election.
The 33rd Senate District is comprised of communities in Waukesha County including: the City and Town of Delafield; City and Village of Pewaukee, Village and Town of Merton; the Villages of Sussex, Chenequa, North Lake, Hartland, Wales, North Prairie, Dousman, Oconomowoc Lake, Summit, Nashotah; the City and Town of Waukesha; and portions of the Town of Genesee, Lisbon, Mukwonago and Ottawa.

Representatives Farrow (98th Assembly District) and Kapenga (33rd Assembly District) are seeking to replace former Senator Rich Zipperer, who resigned his seat to become deputy chief of staff and senior legal counsel to Governor Scott Walker.
Jay Weber, host of News/Talk WISN-Jay Weber Show, will moderate the forum, which is open to the community. Because there is a maximum capacity of 208 people in the Delafield Council Chambers, seating will be on a first come, first-served basis. There is both street parking and a large parking lot located on the east side of the building.
Questions for the candidates may be submitted in advance to alliance@waukesha.org.
