The Waukesha County Sheriff's Department was alerted about a complaint regarding a former Waukesha County Health and Human Services therapist who had been in a sexual relationship with a client, the complaint said.
The woman was seeing Daul for alcohol and drug treatment through the county's Drug Treatment Court, the complaint said.
She told police that she and Daul engaged in sexual acts in Daul's office after sessions. The victim estimated it happened three to five times a week and eventually happened at both of their homes, the complaint said.
During the relationship, the woman told police she heard "protected health information" about 20 to 30 of Daul's patients, the complaint said.
Daul admitted to police she had sex during some of her patients' telephone sessions, the complaint said.
Daul filed a temporary restraining order against the victim in August, according to online court records.
In a petition for the restraining order, Daul said she was let go from her job as a Waukesha County Human Services therapist due to the relationship, according to a Fox 6 news report.
Daul told police she agreed to the relationship because "she didn't want to jeopardize the victim's recovery," the complaint said.
