WAUKESHA, WI β€” An explosion Friday morning at a local recycling plant could be heard throughout Waukesha, and was captured on video. Officials at the company where it happened said nobody was hurt as a result of the explosion.

According to a FOX 6 report, the explosion happened Friday morning at the Waukesha Iron and Metal plant when a shredding machine suddenly released pressure, causing the fire and explosion. Company officials told the television station that the explosion was out of the ordinary, but not completely unexpected, either.

Waukesha Iron and Metal is located at 1351 E. Main Street in Waukesha. The plant provides recycling services to businesses throughout the Midwest.
