Friday Night Live Celebrates Waukesha’s 125th Anniversary

The special edition of Friday Night Live will be held Friday.

WAUKESHA, WI β€” Get ready for a special edition of Friday Night Live this Friday in Waukesha.

A special tent will feature activities to celebrate the city’s 125th anniversary, with a life-size photo cutout of comedian Frank Caliendo, a native of Waukesha. There will be several cutouts with which you can pose for pictures.

Residents can also submit memories for inclusion in the city’s 125th anniversary time capsule, get collectible postcards and have a chance to win Downtown Waukesha gear.

Friday Night Live takes place every Friday from June to September, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., on Main Street in downtown Waukesha. The event features nine live music stages, as well as dining and shopping options from downtown businesses.

β€œFriday Night Live is one of Waukesha’s favorite downtown events. We are excited to be a part of the fun as we continue the celebration of our 125th anniversary as a City,” Mayor Shawn Reilly said in a statement.

What anniversary is complete without cake? Join city staff at 6 p.m. Aug. 10 in Cutler Park for a free anniversary cupcake for the first 1,000 people. Stay for Tribute Tuesday - Rolling Stones from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring the band Shattered.
