Music event will follow the format of Freeman Friday Night Live.

A special edition of Freeman Friday Night Live is planned for downtown Waukesha for the Harley Davidson 110th Anniversary celebration, according to a news release from the Waukesha Downtown Business Association.

The event is planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in the downtown area.

Here is more from the news release:

The WDBA at its AugustΒ meeting decided to embrace the Harley Riders by providing the same typeΒ event that Waukesha has been known for which is a family friendly event onΒ the streets of downtown Waukesha. In working with City of Waukesha staff andΒ department heads, the WDBA in cooperation with the city will run the eventΒ the same as our currentΒ FridayΒ Night Event.

This means the same footprint ofΒ street closing will be used with parking on the streets limited afterΒ 5 p.m.Β and the streets closed to traffic fromΒ 6 p.m. toΒ 9 p.m. The same rules we follow onΒ Friday Nights of no open intoxicants on the streets will be followed alongΒ with the no carry-in rules that presently apply.

In addition the WDBA hasΒ agreed with department heads recommendations about additional need of policeΒ officers, trash pick-up and port-a-potties for our visiting guest fromΒ Harley Davidson anniversary celebration. The WDBA also has paid in advanceΒ for those determined services.

Free parking is available, includingΒ in the Riverfront Plaza Lot 1 along theΒ Fox RiverWalk after the Farmer's MarketΒ on SaturdayΒ afternoon.
