Heat Advisory In Waukesha: See Splash Pads And Pools
The city offered public pools and splash pads to cool off while heat index values reach up to 107 degrees.
WAUKESHA, WI — Temperatures are expected to reach into the 90s in Waukesha, but the city and local guides have public pools and splash pads covered.
A heat advisory is in effect in Waukesha, while forecasters expect heat index values to reach between 102 and 107 degrees on Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported. The heat advisory is expected to end at 8 p.m. on Wednesday.

The City of Milwaukee Health Department recommended people to take the following precautions to avoid heat-related illness or death.
- Spend part of the day in air-conditioned spaces such as shopping malls, movie theaters or libraries
- Never leave children or pets in a parked car, as temperatures can become life-threatening within minutes
- Wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing
- Take cool baths or showers and use wet towels to cool down
- Drink plenty of water throughout the day regardless of thirst
- Check in on those who are at-risk, and remind others to drink water
- Be aware of heat-related illness symptoms
- Heat exhaustion symptoms include heavy sweating, paleness, muscle cramps, tiredness, weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting or fainting
- Heat stroke symptoms include extremely high body temperature, hot and dry skin (no sweating), rapid pulse, throbbing headache, dizziness, nausea, confusion, or unconsciousness
