Hit-And-Run Suspect Assaulted Woman After Crash: Report

Waukesha police say a 22-year-old man was arrested after hitting a woman's car, and later hitting the woman after the crash.

WAUKESHA, WI — A 22-year-old Waukesha man has been arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and battery after police say he hit a woman's car, and later hit her after she tried confronting him over the collision.

According to Waukesha Police call logs, officers were called to a home on the 2500 block of Trillium Hill Court at just after 7 p.m. on Jan. 22 on a report of a hit-and-run accident.

Call logs stated the woman's daughter called police, saying someone hit her mother's car as she was pulling into the subdivision. The daughter said her mother implored her to call 911 as the situation escalated.

Police said the driver of that car, a 22-year-old Waukesha man, struck the woman's car, and fled the scene as the woman chased her in her car.

Police said once the man stopped, the woman got out of her car to confront him, only to have him hit her in the head twice. Following the confrontation, the woman called police.
