When a pipe burst and water began to pour out of a Waukesha house, the only person home was a wanted man, police said.

WAUKESHA, WI — A home emergency later turned into an arrest for Waukesha police after the only person home to take care of the emergency was wanted by police.
Waukesha police say they responded to a home on the 700 block of W. St. Paul Ave. at just after 8 p.m. on Feb. 15 after the homeowner - who was out of state - called police saying the home's pipe burst inside the home.
According to police, the only person who was home was the home owner's 29-year-old son who was also wanted by police on a bail jumping violation.

Waukesha police said they first tried getting the 29-year-old man out of the house by issuing commands from outside as water poured out of the house, and fire crews tended to the burst pipe.
Police said they were granted access to the house, and began searching for the man with the help of a police dog. It wasn't too much later before officers found the man inside a bathroom on the upper level, where he was arrested.
