IL Governor Warned For Speeding On WI Lake: Reports

One report says the governor was going 41 mph in a 35 mph zone while enjoying a weekend with his family.

WALWORTH COUNTY, WI — Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker was stopped for speeding on a boat on a lake in Wisconsin's Walworth County, according to reports. During a weekend boat trip on June 7, Pritzker was stopped and issued a warning on Geneva Lake, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Pritzker was "enjoying a weekend at the lake with his family," his spokeswoman Jordan Abudayyeh told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. She added he received a warning for going 41 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Pritzker owns a Lake Geneva vacation home, according to the Journal Sentinel.

The AP reported the governor was pulled over around 8:30 p.m. on Williams Bay.
