iPad-Related Fire Burns Hole Through Waukesha Home Floor

Police said a charging iPad led to a fire that burned a hole right through the floor of a Waukesha home.

WAUKESHA, WI — According to Waukesha police call logs, officers and firefighters were sent to a home on the 1000 block of Thrush Lane just before 6 p.m. on April 23 on a report of a fire.

According to call logs, when first responders arrived, they found that the house was full of smoke, and everyone safely out of the building.

Waukesha police told Patch that a homeowner was charging an iPad on an Ottoman in the home's living area when a computer it was attached to caught on fire.
