Logistics Company To Lay Off 95 Workers: Report
Bear Down Logistics was one of several smaller delivery firms that Amazon stopped working with.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — An aptly-named Illinois-based logistics company announced they're closing their Waukesha County-based facility, that will result in the loss of 95 local jobs.
Bear Down Logistics Central has provided formal notice of a workforce reduction at its Sussex location: N53W24700 S Corporate Circle. A total of 95 workers will be affected. This reduction is expected to occur beginning on April 13, 2020.
According to a Milwaukee Biz Times report, Bear Down Logistics was one of several smaller delivery firms that Amazon stopped working with.

The Department of Workforce Development in Wisconsinand its regional partner, the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington Workforce Development Board, stated they will offer rapid response services to the company and the affected workers.
Workers affected by permanent layoff may also access basic re-employment services at no charge through the state's Job Centers.

Some services, including training assistance, may be an option for some workers after enrolling in one or more of DWD's workforce development programs.
While all companies faced with permanent worker layoffs are encouraged to seek assistance from the local Rapid Response Teams, some companies may be required to give 60 days notice before a mass layoff or closing under federal or state law.
