Waukesha Lyft Driver Refuses Ride to Passenger Without A Mask

WAUKESHA, WI— A Lyft driver called police early Saturday morning in Waukesha after a passenger disagreed with the driver over the ride share company's face mask policy.

The woman refused to get out of the car after the disagreement, according to the police report. The report said the driver refused to undertake the ride based on the passenger's unwillingness to abide by the policy.

Police told the woman that the driver has the autonomy to decide whether or not he provides the ride and that he is not "required by law" to do so. She eventually exited the car and moved along, police said.
