Magellan's In Waukesha To Close One Day A Week

WAUKESHA, WI—Magellan's On Main Street announced it will be immediately closed on Mondays, according to a Facebook announcement.

The business cited low sales due to the winter.

"We'll be open again [on Mondays] hopefully by March. We usually don't see as many folks come by in the colder months and Mondays have seen the worst in sales so to avoid losing money, we decided to close Mondays,"Steph Scibek, marketing manager, told Patch.

Scibek added short staffing has also been an issue.

"Out of 20 scheduled interviews...19 no calls /no showed...weird times," Scibek said.

Magellan's specializes in beer and artisan pizzas among other menu and drink items.

The business at 370 W. Main St. was established in 2007. The space has been a bar and restaurant for nearly 70 years. It was completely remodeled in 2015, according to the website.
