Man Convicted Of 3 Sex Assaults Released Back Into Waukesha

Authorities say Richard W. Garcia was convicted of sexually assaulting an elderly person and two children.

WAUKESHA, WI — Police in Waukesha say a man convicted of multiple sex offenses will be released back into Waukesha.

According to Waukesha Police, Richard W. Garcia was convicted of burglary and sexually assaulting an elderly resident in 1985. Authorities say Garcia was convicted of two counts of sexual assault of a child for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old and a 9-year-old child that lived in his home in 1993.

Authorities say Garcia has completed his prison sentence and will be released back into the community.

Police say Garcia has submitted to face-to-face registration with local police, is to have no unsupervised contact with children, is not allowed in taverns, bars or liquor stores, is not allowed to have any contact with victims, and is not allowed to purchase or possess or consume alcohol
or illegal drugs.

According to Police, Garcia will be living with a family member on the 400 block of Baird Street, which is outside of the City of Waukesha Child Safety Zone.
