Man Found Dead In Nashotah Lake Identified As Waukesha Resident

Dive teams pulled a 66-year-old man's body from Lower Nashotah Lake Wednesday.

WAUKESHA — The man whose body was pulled from Lower Nashotah Lake near Summit Wednesday has been identified as a 66-year-old Waukesha man.

Someone called the Summit Police Department at around 12:40 p.m. after they saw an unattended fishing boat floating in the water for about several hours, Western Lakes Fire District Chief Bradley Bowen told Patch.

Water rescue and dive teams found a body in 15 feet of water, Bowen said. Investigators identified the body as a 66-year-old Waukesha man, police said in a statement.

Summit police and the Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office are investigating the death, police said.

There were no injuries to fire department members and no foul play is suspected, Bowen said.
