Man Takes Popsicles Without Paying From Waukesha Store: Police

WAUKESHA, WI—Waukesha Police responded to several calls for service. Here are a few highlights from the police log from Aug.2-6.

A 80-year-old man came into a business on Main Street four times and took popsicles from a store on Friday. The man yelled he “owns a lot of places” and promised to pay the store back on Monday. He was told not to return until he has the money to make purchases. He was provided the exact time to the second, “because he wanted to make sure his clock was perfectly in line with the actual time,” the log said.

A man reported $3,900 stolen from his apartment on Thursday. The man told police he won the money from gambling but had spent and gambled a bunch of money. He told police he would recall the specifics of the last couple days.

Police responded to property damage on Elder Street on Thursday. The caller heard a loud bang and noticed the dumpster and boards all over the place. The caller also reported a car with bad damage. A few people were standing near the damaged car but told the caller nothing happened.
