Midwest Snow Storm Stalls Waukesha, Milwaukee-Area Blood Donations
Representatives from the BloodCenter of Wisconsin said the need for donors is high due to inclement weather.

MILWAUKEE — The winter snow storm sweeping through Southeast Wisconsin and much of the Midwest has sent the number of blood donors plummeting and the need for blood skyrocketing, according to reports.
Inclement weather has caused donors to miss and nix appointments at several Milwaukee-area centers, including Waukesha, Fox 6 reports, and several community blood drives have been canceled.
"BloodCenter of Wisconsin is the exclusive provider of blood products to 57 Wisconsin hospitals, and must see 700-800 donors statewide each day to serve patients in need," the story said.
