Milwaukee Motorist Claims NCAA Tournament Led To Being Charged With 4th OMVI

Motorist told the Wisconsin State Patrol that he had been drinking while watching the NCAA Tournament when he was pulled over at 9:30 a.m.

WAUKESHA, WI — Conell Brown, 53 years of age, from Milwaukee was arrested Sunday morning by the Wisconsin State Patrol Waukesha Post for a 4th offense of operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

According to news release, a State Trooper stopped Brown’s vehicle at 9:30 AM for a failing drivers side brake light.

The Trooper detected an odor of alcohol coming from Mr. Brown. Mr. Brown informed the Trooper he drank last night for the UW and Marquette basketball games. Field sobriety tests were conducted and Mr. Brown was subsequently arrested for OWI 4th offense.

Mr. Brown submitted to a blood test at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Racine and is being held in the Racine County Jail for felony Operating While Intoxicated and Operating after Revocation.
