Nobody Injured After Fire At 'Very Busy' Waukesha Texas Roadhouse
Firefighters found a fire inside the hood and duct system at the Texas Roadhouse in Waukesha on Sunday, authorities said.
WAUKESHA, WI — A fire broke out Sunday evening inside the kitchen ventilation system at the 2513 Plaza Court Texas Roadhouse in Waukesha, prompting the building's evacuation, according to a news release from the Waukesha Fire Department.
A bystander reported the fire around 5 p.m. with firefighters later arriving to a large amount of smoke coming from the restaurant's roof, the news release said. It was a "very busy" night for the restaurant, the release said.
Fire crews found the fire coming from the kitchen's exhaust system and the building was evacuated with the help of Waukesha police, the release said. Authorities estimated damages to be at $50,000.
