Obituary: Robert “Bob” F. Hanson

Robert “Bob” F. Hanson, of Waukesha, died with his loving wife at his side on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Seasons Hospice at the age of 91.

He was born in Franksville, WI on June 5, 1922, the son of Joseph and Esther (nee Schultz) Hanson.  On Oct. 16, 1943, he married Virginia Zellmer.  Bob loved fishing and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Waukesha.

He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 70 years, Virginia of Waukesha, by his sister Karen (Einer) Hedloff of West Allis, his brother Carl Hanson of Franklin, his brother-in-law Willard Zellmer of Pewaukee and his sister-in-law Betty Zellmer of West Allis.  He is further survived by six nieces and six nephews along with other relatives and friends. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. funeral Mass all held at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Avenue, Waukesha (corner of Hartwell and Newhall Avenues).  Father Howard Haase will preside.  Burial will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Prairie Home Cemetery. Please meet at the cemetery office.
