Obituary: Roger J. Roder

Roger J. Roder, of Waukesha died peacefully on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Season’s Hospice at the age of 70 years.

He was born on Sept. 1, 1942, in Black River Falls, WI, the son of John E. and Nellie G. (nee Bryan) Roder. Roger married Jacqueline Jean Milbrath on August 6, 1966.  He was a very active member in the Waukesha area Knights of Columbus Council #1825 3rd Degree.

Roger proudly worked with his brother for more than 40 years at John A. Roder Corporation. After retiring he delivered flowers for Olde English Floral and most recently was the crossing guard (corner of Madison Avenue and Moreland Boulevard).  Roger always smiled and waved as you passed by with his infectious smile.  He attempted hunting and fishing for his children’s sake.  Of all the things he enjoyed, he loved being with his family.
