En plein air is French for "outdoors" or "in the open air." Artists will be painting outdoors, "capturing the beauty of the historic downtown Waukesha buildings." One artist will be selected at the end of the week to have their artwork on permanent display at the new City Hall, and receive a $500 city purchase award.
“We are excited for artists to capture the history and beauty of downtown Waukesha during our Plein Air event and for people to share in all that the downtown has to offer,” said Lynn Gaffey of the West End Artists.
