One Dead In Waukesha County Crash

Authorities said the crash happened on Highway 83 on Friday afternoon.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A 23-year-old Burlington man has died after the vehicle he was driving was hit Friday afternoon in Mukwonago.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's office, deputies were called to the area of Highway 83 and Sugden Road in Mukwonago just after 4 p.m. Friday on a report of a two-car accident.

Authorities said the Burlington man was driving south on Highway 83 when a 70-year-old Mukwonago man heading north on Highway 83 turned west onto Sugden Road.

Authorities said the two vehicles collided at the intersection with the Mukwonago man sustaining minor injuries. The Burlington man died at the crash scene, sheriff's officials said.

Sheriff's officials said Highway 83 was shut down for three-and-a-half hours as investigators cleared the scene. The highway has since been reopened.
